GIANT VEGETABLES · 2026 RECAP

Where Ontario’s giant growers gather

Giant-pumpkin and vegetable weigh-offs bring growers together to exhibit, compare results and share growing experience. Two recent examples are Port Elgin Pumpkinfest (October 3–4, 2026) and the Woodbridge Fall Fair giant vegetable weigh-in (October 10, 2026). These events have finished for 2026; dates for their 2027 competitions should be confirmed with organizers.

The published 2026 leaderboard records John Butler of St. Thomas in second place for giant pumpkin at 1,489 lb, first for giant squash at 1,086.5 lb and first for tallest sunflower at 278.5 inches.

Woodbridge Fall Fair

The fair scheduled a giant vegetable weigh-in on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Consult the fair and Great Pumpkin Commonwealth for verified entries, rules and future dates.
